Dr. Ogura is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specialized in the range of knee surgery. He previously worked at Funabashi Orthopaedic Hospital more than 10 years that has the highest volume of cases in Japan and experienced a lot of cases. In 2025, he joined the Tokyo Sports & Orthopedic Clinic (TSOC) led by an internationally recognized shoulder & elbow specialist, Hiroyuki Sugaya, MD.

Dr. Ogura also completed a fellowship in the United States under Pro. Tom Minas at Harvard Medical School, who is the world’s expert on knee surgery. Dr. Ogura is ECFMG Certified (USMLE) Physician and an English-speaking doctor.

His specialty includes arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction for the unstable knee, meniscal repair, osteochondral defect repair, surgery for patello-femoral problems, articular cartilage repair (e.g., microfracture, autologous chondrocyte implantation), realignment procedure (e.g., osteotomy), and joint replacement for the worn knee.

The knee issues often require a multidisciplinary approach involving physical therapy and other nonoperative treatment. Dr. Ogura tailors a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses the specific anatomical and functional challenges for optimal patient outcomes.
